Potz & Panz has grown into 4 things from 1 kitchen: event catering, weekly meal prep, cold-pressed juice, and a traveling food truck. Each is made by the same hands, with the same care and quality, whether it’s a wedding plate, a week of meals, or a bottle of juice.
The foundation of Potz & Panz Gourmet Cafe is built on family legacy. Co-owner and Executive Chef Demonica Pugh, known locally as the “Queen of Soul Food,” found her passion for the kitchen at age seven by watching both of her grandmothers prepare daily meals. Demonica opened the first cafe in Atlanta in 1999.
In 2013, she brought the restaurant home to Montgomery to care for her parents. Her culinary background includes mastering international styles—Jamaican, Mexican, Spanish, and European—in New York and preparing gourmet cuisine in upscale southern hotels. Today, she brings all of that experience directly to the menu in North Montgomery.
