Established in the historic village of Stone Mountain Ga, Potz And Panz is a community favorite, known for Serving authentic soul food for over 17years, this icon remains a culinary must-visit for foodies. , Wine Down Wednesday , and Daily Specials scream home-style cooking, within an at-home environment. Chef Demonica Pugh, the “Queen of Soul Food,” is the founder and owner of Potz And Panz Gourmet Café, located on the North Side of Montgomery, since 2013. Demonica, born and raised in Montgomery, had dreams at a very young age of having her on business one day. In the kitchen watching both of her grandmothers cook extraordinary dishes. Young and determined. Demonica is the daughter of Gloria and Gregory Pugh, a native of Wilcox County & Montgomery Country. Demonica learn how to cook southern food tiling the grounds and planting seeds, watching the seeds develop to the best thing yet fresh vegetables.
In 1977 Demonica started cooking at home for her family, the oldest of 4 sisters and started her journey towards a brighter future. Cooking and cleaning was a must in our household having a sister that couldn’t walk or talk with Cerebral Palsy Demonica new that she had to do more.1984 Demonica took a job at McDonald’s and other fast food Restaurant while attending high school @ Sidney Lanier to help her parents Montgomery called, and Demonica answered, as she became a prep cook at Darrell’s Restaurant . In 1996, after several years of dedicated service to her employer, Demonica was the first black female chef from Montgomery to work as a Chef for the Olympics at the Marriott Hotel downtown Peachtree Street in Atlanta GA.
Thus a Chef was born, Demonica left Atlanta Ga and moved to Washington DC where she attended the Art Institution of Washington DC where she graduated from and moved back to Atlanta Ga. Pregnant with child she lost her job only having 50.00 to her name Demonica started selling lunches out of her house to the local business and after she had her son Jairus in 2003 she opened her first restaurant in downtown Stone Mountain, a full-service catering hall and Restaurant, Demonica open her 2nd location in North Dekalb Mall Decatur Ga. 2009 Demonica closed up and moved back to Montgomery to help take care of her parents. And started the Food Truck. We strive to satisfy our guest’s appetite with an appetizer of unforgettable style, an entrée of memorable cuisine, a made with love sweet dessert, and delightful customer service in anticipation of the certainty that they will come back to request more” Owned & Operated by The Pugh Family.
Felisha C Pugh
Felisha C Pugh has worn many hats over the years. In 2012 Felisha And Talisha Open up Changez Beauty Supply For five years, Felisha worked in sales before being wooed by Chef Demonica and they open up Her 2 nd Location in Montgomery Al. As Director of Sales for Potz And Panz Gourmet Catering, Felisha has become the point person for parties, weddings, book club luncheons, and all types of food events. Her bubbly personality, true love of people and contagious laughter sets Felisha in a class all her own. Parties at the kitchen are many times hosted by Felisha. She keeps glasses full and orchestrates fun for everyone around.
Felisha favorite foods from the kitchen are spicy, just like her. Felisha enjoys spending time with her Spouse traveling around the world. She loves to travel to warm destinations.
